Practicing the Buteyko method

The method requires commitment for consistent daily practice.
Clients are instructed to practice 3 times a day, especially at the beginning of practice.
Particular time can be determined based on severity of symptoms and client’s age.
Practicing can be easy incorporated into your daily routine. Practice doesn’t require a special place, equipment or a particular time. Therefore practicing of breathing exercises can be done while regular activities such as watching TV, reading the book, listening to the radio, etc.
Clients shouldn’t discard prescribed medications. Asthmatics are instructed to carry bronchodilators with them at all times and to continue taking preventive medication.
Clients should continue to cooperate with medical doctor and ask for medical advice to reduce prescribed medications.
The method requires you to take responsibility for your own healing. This fact and others like lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem, not enough willpower are the obstacles which may slow or even stop progress.
